So the other day I was looking back at past blog posts of mine and I came across an old meme that made the rounds through the book blogs years ago. I thought it looked fun enough to do again and figured it would make a good Weekly Geek idea for us this week.
You know how when someone asks you who your favorite author is? And you feel a bit crazy coming up with just one? Now is your chance to come up with 26 (at least) favorite authors by making a list of them ABC style. (See my above link from the past for an example.) There are no rules, list a couple per letter if you feel the need. Skip a letter if you draw a blank. Make it be categories if you want to. For instance, a favorite YA author list. A favorite classic author list. A favorite "new to me" author list. A favorite mystery author list.
Or simply an all time favorite author list... from A to Z!
My Thoughts.
This is this week’s Weekly Geeks challenge – I have missed a whole bunch of WG challenges – so I am going to do a few in between catching up on reviews for the next few weeks.
I have not really made a list as prompted to – I have just listed an A- Z of authors that have given me loads of pleasure over the past couple of years.
There is a good mix of authors here – from Romance Suspense author which is my preferred reading genre to author of Manga, Sci-fi, Black History, and a set of authors that span across the romance genre spectrum.
While going through my list I realised how many authors I have dropped in the pursuit of reading the newest books and the freshest authors… good thing I have been spending some time with my backlist, I have already being updating my “Backlist” reading list ..
My only niggle with putting this list together was that I could not find an author with Surname name starting with a X – I am sure I have read one before, but either I have not catalogues it anywhere or the name was probably a Christian name…
If you think of one let me know…
There is no rhyme or rhythm to this list – Just authors I like and whose style work for me..
Is there an authors that’s floating your boat at the moment? - mention a few comments – I am always on the hunt for new to me authors..

Excellent.. thanks for that..
I wonder if she went with that name on purpose to fill in the X gap that is so glarelingly needed in the romance genre..
:)
Or because she liked the initials XXX? :)
X-rated... LOL
Now I definately need to read her when she is released...
:)
You put together a great list!
@Yvonne ..
Thanks...
:)
I like the way you've set up your list!
