The Sunday Salon, NaBloPoMo: January 23rd – That rare find

Just popping in to say hi and that I am still alive – just had one of those weeks where my head could not rise above the onslaught of work on my in tray…

Hope all is well with you all….

On my day…

I had a rare find today, I am always on the look out for the odd and most time weird books to pick up and  I found one today – sometimes i read them, sometime  I pass them along as I love giving books as gift…

After a rather busy and difficult week – I took a Sunday morning walk to the flea market today and found TODAYS ETIQUETTE, published by Bancroft… I might be speaking a foreign language to you now, but Bancroft published a whole bunch of book for boy, girls and adult alike about 50 years ago..

In today’s society they would be classed as self help books are some weird book title like “Etiquette for idiots” –… Anyhow I was so pleased to find this book and it was almost free for the price I paid for it…

This find definately made my day and made up for alot of angst during the past week…  I hope you guys had something at the end of this weekend  that made the whole week worth it…

On reading

A little at a time, and not as much as I wanted to get through this week..

On the reviews…

Definately putting some  up this week..

On the blog visits…

I have a whole bunch of loving to pass around the net -  I will get to you guys eventually – I promise…. As soon as I catch my breath from my over loaded inbox…

Wishing you some great moment in the week ahead….

I am doing NaBloPoMo this January. The theme this month is - Friends
Best friends, worst friends, friends of the family . . . how many do you have, how many do you need, and where are they when you need them.

What is the Sunday Salon? Imagine some university library's vast reading room. It's filled with people--students and faculty and strangers who've wandered in. They're seated at great oaken desks, books piled all around them, and they're all feverishly reading and jotting notes in their leather-bound journals as they go. Later they'll mill around the open dictionaries and compare their thoughts on the afternoon's literary intake....

That's what happens at the Sunday Salon, except it's all virtual. Every Sunday the bloggers participating in that week's Salon get together--at their separate desks, in their own particular time zones--and read. And blog about their reading. And comment on one another's blogs. Think of it as an informal, weekly, mini read-a-thon, an excuse to put aside one's earthly responsibilities and fall into a good book.

Wow, looks like you have a lot going on!

I love when I find something neat like your find - especially when I'm not really looking for it ;)
