The Sunday Salon – Enjoying the day and blog hopping…

Today the weather is much better than it had been for the past week, between –4 and –8. This morning it is now at 4 degrees, believe me it’s bliss..

We even have a little sunshine. I’ve booted the boys out into the garden and I am doing a quick spin around the house with the hoover and just enjoying this break in the weather  as I understand it’s back to snow sometime within the next 48hrs…

Reading..

I am going through Laura Griffin TRACER suspense series this weekend and it so totally rocks. I find it is nice to take a break from a genre and then come back to it by trying out a totally new author to me…

I like her style alot.. this author didn’t try to reinvent forensic science – I really enjoyed where she went with the mystery and the path to getting there..

I will do a sum up some point this week.

Challenge

I have been giving the challenge thing a whole lot of thought and – I am still looking around to see what's happening for 2011 …  I found out last year that it makes no sense to have too much of the same challenge around so watch this space…

I know I am going to have personal challenges for myself as I have a few books that I want to get through in 2011…

On the blog..

I have a Discussion Point post this week – I am going to be chatting about “Privacy and the things that comes in the mail”… I had an incident a few weeks ago which highlighted an area I have never really thought about..

Make sure you pop in on Wednesday to see what I have on my mind..

For the rest of the day…

I am now off to make dinner, wishing you guys a great day what ever it is that you are getting up to..

Until next week – cheers

What is the Sunday Salon? Imagine some university library's vast reading room. It's filled with people--students and faculty and strangers who've wandered in. They're seated at great oaken desks, books piled all around them, and they're all feverishly reading and jotting notes in their leather-bound journals as they go. Later they'll mill around the open dictionaries and compare their thoughts on the afternoon's literary intake....

That's what happens at the Sunday Salon, except it's all virtual. Every Sunday the bloggers participating in that week's Salon get together--at their separate desks, in their own particular time zones--and read. And blog about their reading. And comment on one another's blogs. Think of it as an informal, weekly, mini read-a-thon, an excuse to put aside one's earthly responsibilities and fall into a good book.

Sounds like a nice, quiet day.

I'm on the fence about joining challenges next year - I joined a few, and read the books, but keeping track and/or posting is where I failed...

You've got my curiosity up about your mail :)
