Isn’t it funny that a day has to be declared for people to be kind or even be nice to each other. It is really a sad sate of affairs – with all that said, it is truly Kindness Day today and I only found out about it a few weeks ago from one of the kidlets…
I wasn’t sure what it was about as the pragmatist in me just thought “we should all try to be kind to everyone” but there are a bunch of guidelines and creed and stuff to do on a few website around…
Check out the Australian web space – It offers the most details and introduce why the day came about.. There is also a UK Kindness page where there is one event that I think suits me…
Pause For Kindness – 13.00 On 13th November 2010
Kindness Day UK will be asking people to spend 30 seconds to reflect on kindness
You can think about:
1 - Kind people that you know
2 - Kind acts that have had an impact on you
3 - A kind act you can carry out for someone
4 - How you can be kind to animals and the environment
5 - What kindness means to you
In essence all of this is really common sense but I am going to be thinking about alot of people who have bend backwards and gone out of their way to not only help me but to also accommodate some of my weird requests in the last few weeks..
I am also going to be remembering some bloggy friends who are really a top notch bunch of people … You all know who you are!!!! Thank you.
What ever you have planned for today - Please make the effort to do something extra nice, just for kindness sake…
Have a great weekend guys…
5 Speak To Me:
Hi, EH! You were one of the first people to welcome me to the blogosphere when I got my blog going, so I'm definitely remembering that on kindness day. :) Have a great weekend!
Great post, E.H.!
This is definitely something we should all do every day.
Missed it, well still time.
Have a good day EH, you are the sweetest :)
I had no clue about World Kindness Day. Thank you for letting me know!
And yes, it's all common sense but sometimes people need a kick in the pants to get their brains to think about it. :)
