A weekly event hosted by Sheila - Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week.
Books I completed last week are:
Leiland Dale - [Heart of the Mountain 2]- A Loving Hart
Kate Roman - Man and Wolf
Marie Rochelle - Beneath the Surface
T.A. Chase - Wishing for a Home
L.B. Gregg - Men Of Smithfield 04 - In And Out
Linda Lael Miller - [McKettricks of Texas 10] - Garrett
Dr Campbell’s Secret Son – Anne Fraser
Neverwhere – Neil Gaiman
This is the cover that made me look twice this week…
I have been off paranormal books for awhile now, and while I still have a look around the paranormal sites and love to see the cover works, I am not reading more than one or two a month.
I found this cover a few weeks ago and it’s the first of Marie Treanor – Awakened By Blood trilogy. Something about it makes me perk up and added it to my list.. I am hoping I love this new series..
Blood on Silk, An Awakened by Blood Novel,
Marie Treanor
Release : September 7th - 2010
Publisher: NAL Signet Eclipse
Scottish academic Elizabeth Silk is spending the summer in Romania researching historical superstitions for her PhD. While she is tracing local foktales, one subject in particular sparks her imagination. His name is Saloman, legend's most powerful vampire, a seductive prince staked centuries ago. Now, in the ruins of a castle crypt, Elizabeth discovers the legends are real. Her blood has awakened him. Her innocence has aroused him. But Elizabeth unleashes more than Saloman's hunger.
An army of vampire hunters has amassed to send Saloman back to hell. Sworn to help - yet fearing Saloman's deadly blood lust - Elizabeth seeks to entrap him, offering her body as bait. But something stronger than dread, more powerful than revenge, is uniting Elizabeth to her prey. Caught between desire and rage, Elizabeth must decide
where her loyalties lie...and what the limits are to a yearning she can no longer control.
Up next on the reading deck
Root of all evil – Mary Eason
Cross the Line – Wendy Ely
