The Sunday Salon – What a week & Weekend

Oh the joys of a Sunday, especially when the weather is glorious... And so it was for me today. A stunningly wonderful day.
This week was all about resting and getting my rhythm back and I have gotten it back to some degree, but slowly does it still.

Yesterday I took part in the Dewey 24hr Read-A-Thon and I had a smashing time... this is my third time doing this event so some of the novelty has kinda worn off and I spend quite a bit of time finding new to me bloggers and getting the feel of what's happening in blogland..

One thing I will say, there are some creative and exciting people out there blogging. They make it look fun and last night was a great way to kick start my mojo.  Sometimes it's nice to step outside of my comfort zone and see what the other side is getting up to.

Other than blog hopping -  I read

Quinn Security Series
1.Book One - Finding Home – Cameron Dane
2.Book Two - The Ultimate Kink – Cameron Dane

From Minders Series
3.Feral – Joely Skye
4.Lynx - Joely Skye (read 100pages of 161pages)

5.Still The One - Shawn Lane
6.Peculiar Proverbs: Weird Words of Wisdom from Around the World - Stephen Arnott

I had earmarked four books to get through and I did get through those and a bit - So go me.... I find Read-A-thons a great way to whittle down my TBR pile or just to challenge myself to read a set of book that have been dragging on the shelf for too long..

I am looking forward to a great week - I should have some reviews out this week and a few long awaited books by myself are being releases this week.
I hope you guys have some plan of action set for this week... If not winging it is good as well. I do find I get an enormous amount of stuff done when I wing it....

Until next week – cheers

What is the Sunday Salon? Imagine some university library's vast reading room. It's filled with people--students and faculty and strangers who've wandered in. They're seated at great oaken desks, books piled all around them, and they're all feverishly reading and jotting notes in their leather-bound journals as they go. Later they'll mill around the open dictionaries and compare their thoughts on the afternoon's literary intake....
That's what happens at the Sunday Salon, except it's all virtual. Every Sunday the bloggers participating in that week's Salon get together--at their separate desks, in their own particular time zones--and read. And blog about their reading. And comment on one another's blogs. Think of it as an informal, weekly, mini read-a-thon, an excuse to put aside one's earthly responsibilities and fall into a good book

Yay you. You did great to read all those will having a real life too. :-)

I think I'm winging it this week. I'm wondering if work will be better or worse next week. I'm out at a conference all day tomorrow and then I'm out of town for work Mon-Wed. the week after so we'll either be panicking we're not ready for next week or in control. I'm leaning to panic. LOL Bookwise I always play it by ear. :-)
