What are you Reading on Mondays – Too much reading No Reviews

A weekly event hosted by Sheila - Book Journey to discuss your reading week ~ the books you've read and those you plan on reading in the coming week.

Books I completed last week are:

Pack Territory – Crissy Smith

For Loves Sake - Lena Matthews

The Blacker the Berry - Lena Matthews

Coming home – Ava Rose Johnson

Their One and Only - Trista Ann Michaels

Savage Awakenings.– Stephanie Hecht

Unspoken Desires Tri-Omega Mates - Stormy Glenn

Special Delivery - Heidi Cullinan

These are the covers I fell in love with this week…

The boy child and I went book shopping this week and he fell in love with this book – I loved it for the cover. We have the middle one…

Set in Stone

Linda Newbery

Awards  Costa Children's Book Award

When Samuel Godwin, a young and naive art tutor, accepts a job with the Farrow family at their majestic home, little does he expect to come across a place containing such secrets and lies. His two tutees are as different as can be--younger sister Marianne, full of flightiness and nervous imagination, and Juliana, sensible and controlled. Helped by their governess, Charlotte Agnew, Samuel begins to uncover slowly why Marianne is so emotionally fragile, and in doing so uncovers a web of intrigue. But his discoveries lead to revenge and betrayal--and lives all around are turned upside down.
Linda Newbery has written a novel in diary style, combining different voices and a different century with her usual brilliance and ease. These are characters full of the same passions as our own today, while living in an unfamiliar and fascinating time.

Books I am currently reading this week

The Fortune Hunter – Jasmine Haynes

I am trying to get through tons of reviews, so I am going to wing it for the rest of the week…

I just finished a re-read of my own novel, Kestrel on the Horizon which I am submitting for reprints. I also read on Stephan Zimmer's The Exodus Gate which is kind of a cyberpunk Madeline L'Engle. And some in Jodi Payne and Chris Owen's Rough Draft.

I'm reading the MLR Press collection Scared Stiff. Just finished The Dark Farewell by Josh Lanyon and The Larton Chronicles by James Anson.

EH - Oh! Looking forward to seeing what you think about it! It was delightfully understated and just wonderful.

I'm sure the publisher is wondering why there's been a burst of purchases in the past week, and it's all Josh's fault. :D

Erotic Horizon on 10 March 2010 at 21:30 said...

@Chris..

I did think that as well - When I was ordering - because there is just like a handful of books on the site...

I did see a few others that sounded good - but my pile growled at me, so spend my almost 9 quid and got off the site...

I blame YOU all....
