Upcoming Events in the UK… see you there

The World Horror Convention 2010 will be held in Brighton, England, March 25-28, 2010

The World Horror Convention is an annual gathering of professionals in the horror industry; publishers, authors, artists, musicians, filmmakers, dealers and, of course, horror fans. WHC serves as both an industry insider's networking event and a chance for fans of the genre to get together, meet some of the creative talents in the field, and generally spend a weekend celebrating All Things Scary.

Odyssey 2010 is aiming to be a robust platform on which European fans and professionals, SF societies and groups can present aspects of their nation's SF to the wider European SF community. We are looking to include programme items that showcase European fandom as well as items that allow our European members additional insight into the peculiarities of UK fandom. We are also aiming to give mainland European science fiction a higher profile with UK publishers.

I'm not sure if the London Book Fair is open to the public but I think it would be a blast to see that many books and new technologies. Like a gigantic book store. :-)

I thought of you this morning as I was watching TV (Yes, we watch cartoons before work/school in the morning. When Bugs Bunny ends, time for me to get out the door. If I hear the Scooby Doo music I'm running late. LOL) and there was an announcement for a 24 hour Thunder Cats marathon on April 4 on our retro channel. You can your son could veg all day eating chocolate bunnies and saying "Go go Thunder Cats!" :-)
