The Sunday Salon - Loads of Laughter and Half Nekkid Men

Another Sunday Salon and it’s time for the weekly round-up. This week I went back to reviewing, I am slowing feeling my way in so I only manage to put up three reviews but at least I am back in the game…

I spend too much time blog hopping this week and laughing – I think a bunch of ladies of adopted me.  I can relate to them on so many levels and they make every visit to their place fun…  They all know who they are (thanks for a great week)

My lust for hunky older men – seems to have fuel a rash of post trying to fill my need for man flesh… Lily has usual outdid herself with some fantastic man candy…

Tam gave me a fireman – all dirty and sweaty…. And Shawn has been sent on a mission to find a teapot…. (HERE)

Discussion Point was a blast this week – I am pleased, very pleased to see that just common courtesy is alive and well in blogland despite the few who never realise that the little things matters alot.

I have a few challenge that I am doing and those are going well and I am having a ball getting back into Graphic Novels and Urban Fantasy - last year seem to be the year of UF… I have loads to choose from ….

This week I am also introducing excerpt day on my blog – I find Thursdays are no post days for me… So I am going to fill it with excerpt – Hopefully something will strike your eyes or call to you, whichever one that gets you reading….

Valentines days is also almost upon us and the madness has started already  - It’s the aisles and aisle of chocolate in the supermarket, the novelty toys and chocolate/love product….

There there is the expectation of women and men for the big day – For me I probably am too old or too jaded… None of it washes with me any more…

My stash of chocolate is always at hand in my knickers drawer and I think I am good with just being at home on the big day – less interaction with the madness…. but lets catch upon next Sunday and share our day…

Load of discussion happening around the net on various topics – hope you have spread your wings and find something to get involved in..

If there is one that moved you this week – let me know – I am always on the look out for what people are talking about on the net..

Until next week – cheers

From The Sunday Salon site –

What is the Sunday Salon? Imagine some university library's vast reading room. It's filled with people--students and faculty and strangers who've wandered in. They're seated at great oaken desks, books piled all around them, and they're all feverishly reading and jotting notes in their leather-bound journals as they go. Later they'll mill around the open dictionaries and compare their thoughts on the afternoon's literary intake....

That's what happens at the Sunday Salon, except it's all virtual. Every Sunday the bloggers participating in that week's Salon get together--at their separate desks, in their own particular time zones--and read. And blog about their reading. And comment on one another's blogs. Think of it as an informal, weekly, mini read-a-thon, an excuse to put aside one's earthly responsibilities and fall into a good book

Heh, you've received so much man candy this week, I can't imagine that you have any room for Valentine's chocolates. ;)

Like you, I tend to want to stay home on Valentine's day. It's just too nuts to try to go out to a restaurant or anywhere. Though a few years ago I dragged hubby out on Valentine's day and it was interesting to witness all that new, super-sweet love first hand. LOL I find it humorous to watch the men as they try their hardest to impress their dates, and you can so tell by the looks on the women's faces if the poor guys are at all succeeding.

Well, I've been single or the last 10 Valentines and I think my ex and I broke up on Feb. 15. Oh yeah, good times. I usually just give my daughter some chocolate, I like to buy something a little better quality but it's a bit "whatever" for me. It was never a huge deal even when we were together.

Glad you enjoyed the menz.

My hubby and I have been together long enough that Valentine's Day is just another day. We leave the madness of gifts and expensive dinners out to others. Just gimme some chocolate and tell me you love me is my motto. Everyday! :D

Glad you liked the men!

Chocolate, yum! One of the best parts of Valentines day. :)

You had a good week and your discussion point on comments was terrific. Oh, I like the idea of excerpts showcased on Thursdays.

@Ava..

I so agree with you - No one told me with age I was going to get jaded, but in this case I am OK with it....

When did we become so hard to please... choc and a nice bunch of flowers used to do the trick... Dear lord the men go through now... it's silly..

How do you choose - there are aisles of the bloody stuffff...

As long as you and the kiddo have a good day - that's all that matters...

My son gives me a hand made card every year, the other one looks at me like where the money to go buy my treat for my girl.. - So I look forward to at least one of those.....
