January 20th – I think I’m in love with my Google Reader – But..

Ever since I did the Bloggiesta event the other day I have been using my Google Reader more and more… I try to block some time in my days to go through as much of it as possible…

I am loving it..

Everything is just there

However as with all good things – I must find a fault…

Not a fault really, but a more a frustration.. and I have found that I am leaving less and less comment on some of the blogs that I am a regular at because of this…

Here’s my dilemma….

Is there a way to post comments directly from the reader itself onto blogs  – rather than going onto the individual blogs… I know there are tons of lovely geeky book bloggers out there, have any of you figured it out yet….

Are you guys using Google Reader or have you found an easier way of getting your blog updates…

Tell me…..

I have the same problem. I read loads of blogs, but I don't always comment. Even worse if I am reading via iphone as it is so small and my typing on it blows. LOL. Let me know if you come across a good solution!!

I use GR. By no means do I comment on every blog I read. *pales at the thought of commenting on 382 blogs (although some of those are not active anymore)*

If something attracts my attention or triggers my need to comment (or is on a blog of someone who's started to feel like a friend), I click through and comment.

I suppose one could leave a comment on the Google Reader blog, asking for that functionality...

I was just looking at my Google Reader. If I don't get to it for a couple of days, it gets overwhelming. It would be nice to be able to see other people's comments on a post as well as post my own comments from it.

Very good question! I have had that very same thought several times. I would love to know if there is such a beast out there that will do that for you.

I know I would comment more, especially when I'm at work and I have a few spare moments. I can't always get to every site because they get blocked for content but I can still read their rss in the reader.

I use the reader all the time and have only click and comment sometimes. If you figure out an easier way let us all know :)

I would love if G reader pulled in the comment ability. In essence that is what a blog is for...commenting. Perhaps one day this feature will be added *crosses fingers*

I read over 500 blogs and I just can't click through to all of them. Google Reader has made reading the posts so much easier, but it's made me a complete lurker.

I would love if we could comment on the reader.

I have the same problem, too! I also don't like how there isn't a comment section at the bottom of each post when you read the full post. For long posts, it takes extra time to scroll all the way back up to the post title in order to open the post in a new window to comment elsewhere. Ugh. And, please, if there's an easier way to do that someone let me know! :)

I've recently started using Google Reader. It does make it easier to keep up with the amount of blogs I follow except for having to click over to comment.

Lately I've become a bit of a lurker again because of that. Maybe in the future it will be an option, I hope.

Hi Christine, not that I know of. I do what lots of people do and comment on posts that grab my attention.

Hi! It does seem to be a matter of going into each individual blog - which ever way you do it. Yes, g reader is fast to read through the posts, but as you noticed, no faster to reply. It does help if there is "reply to this post" feature, but you still have to wait for the page to load, where it would be better to do it all from reader, like an email. Because it does make lurkers of us, unless there is something or someone you particularly want to reply to.

Oh, I hear you on the time thing! Sad part is if you don't visit sometimes your readers leave...its hard at times to keep up and still get a days work in.

Hello Team...

I see we are all in the same boat - I have send off a help message to Google....

Do you know how hard it is to find the right contact to deal with this....

There is actually a comment view on Google reader - however only those people you share with are able to see it.....

let's keep each other posted if new info becomes available...
