My mom went shopping and I went surfing…

Catching up on my circle of online friends this weeks I had a chance to not only dip my fingers into some wonderful giveaways on the net but also take part in some really wonderful discussion and catch up on some - in my opinion wonderful post.

As if that was not enough my mom went shopping and came home with a slew of books for me – I can’t believe it MY MOM… while she knows I read and read alot, she looks at me funny most of the time and wonder if I am sane at the fact that I read and just read to the exclusion of all other activity….

Here’s what she got me….

Internet Piracy of Books (I picked the post up from Eve – Book Fiend)

I went over to one of my favourite person on the net Brandy  from Brenaereads – She doesn’t post every day but she comes up with the grooviest things – This week I found two post that are so Brandy – the first one is about her obsessions – I have to admit they are mine as well.. cool link attach to the post as well.

The second is about where has her week gone –and there seem to be a lot of kiddies coming and going during the week… I so understand this post…

New obsessions

Who hijacked my week?

Another favourite of mine,Yvette from True Crimes Book Reviews gets to the bottom of blog ratings and gives us tip – I thought this was really well done and in layman's term as well.

Very interesting, E.H.! I'm always curious what people think of to blog about because I know I need to branch out a little from just reviews.

There was an interesting post over at Jessewave's blog awhile back where readers talked about what they wanted in the way of author blogs: something like 80% content about the stories and characters, 15% content about GLBT social issues, and 5% content about the writer's personal life. It was a small statistical sample as these things go, but interesting.

Some bloggers entertain with humor and some offer information. It's all a big creative balancing act.

I still have 3 anthologies to write up for My Thoughts. If only these dang kids would go back to school already. LOL

I am still in that stage -trying to find new and exciting things to perk up the blog.. sometimes I have to realise that I have a life outside of the blog...

I remember seeing the post on Jesse's blog - it was very insightful.. I don't do funny much and somethings go right over my head - buy I am hoping to get a balance -soon.
