As we must all break down and do eventually – one a week – i went supermarket shopping and along with the shopping trolley, i came away with three books that i simply could not resist…

She desired him above all others . . .
Would he now be her executioner?
Lady Gwyneth Macleod has staked her fortune and her reputation to help Mary, Queen of Scots take her rightful place on the throne. But her struggle to guide the reckless, defiant queen has put her at perilous odds with Rowan Graham, a laird dangerously accomplished in both passion and affairs of state. And the more Gwyneth challenges his intentions, the less he can resist the desire igniting between them. Now, with her country in turmoil and treachery shadowing her every step, will Gwyneth's last daring gamble lead her to the ultimate betrayal -- or a destiny greater than she could ever imagine?
{Back Of The Book}
Jack Reacher was alone, the way he liked it, soaking up the hot, electric New York City night, watching a man cross the street to a parked Mercedes and drive it away. The car contained one million dollars in ransom money. And Edward Lane, the man who paid it, will pay even more to get his family back. Lane runs a highly illegal soldiers-for-hire operation. He will use any amount of money and any tool to find his beautiful wife and child. And then he'll turn Jack Reacher loose with a vengeance - because Reacher is the best man hunter in the world.
On the trail of a vicious kidnapper, Reacher is learning the chilling secrets of his employer's past…and of a horrific drama in the heart of a nasty little war. He's beginning to realize that Edward Lane is hiding something. Something dirty. Something big. But Reacher also knows this: he's already in way too deep to stop now.

I am so looking forward to getting stuck in – I am on a Lee Child high at the moment, i am missing only one in the series now. Karen Rose – it was on sale and i loved the blurb. Shannon Drake number seven in this series and i am only just getting to it two years after release…. can’t wait..
I have to put the breaks on now – Oh wait – i still have not bought my manga’s yet… it’s a dirty dirty job and i love it..
18 Speak To Me:
I couldn't have resisted the first one either :)
At least that is one fun part about food shopping..they sell books there!
The Shannon Drake sounds good:)
I'm not much into historicals, but the Lee Child and Karen Rose books sound like my cuppa!
Enjoy.
In the late 1980's and 1990's I was a totally Shannon Drake/Heather Graham book slut. ANYTING with her name on it I bought and loved. Once she started getting into more paranormal stuff she lost me as I was still craving historicals and contemporaries from her so I moved on to other authors. I miss her and now that you've reminded me of how long its been since I've read any of her work, I am feeling nostalgic and will have to go out and buy some more Shannon Drake/Heather Graham books! :o)
Those look great! I'll be looking for them!
Hey Blodeuedd..
I had a little scuttle for that one - it was the last one left in the supermarket and I was determined to get it..

Hi EH!
Wow, great book buys and I hope you remembered what you went to the store for....You see that's my problem...I get sucked into where the books are and forget I went for anything else. I try to bring my daughter and a list - one way or the other, groceries have to be purchased.
