Wanting Sam - Shawn Lane

The Blurb

Sam’s ordinary life changes when he rescues aspiring African American actress Krystal after she is dumped by her boyfriend in the middle of Hollywood without a place to live. He allows her to stay with him and their mutual attraction is hot and instantaneous. They have nothing in common as far as bleached-blond computer geek Sam can tell, and he can’t imagine what she would see in someone like him.

Krystal has never known anyone quite like Sam and though she knows she may be moving too fast for the insecure Sam, Krystal can’t stop herself from wanting him.

The Review

When Sam’s sister called him to help her friend out, the last thing he expected is to end the night with her wrapped around him. To say his sister’s friend Krystal was gorgeous would be an understatement; she was also an aspiring actress who’s just dumped by her boyfriend.

Not that Sam was looking a gift horse in the mouth, but when something looks too good to be true it generally is. He’s always been reserved about his geeky looks and this has only been re-enforced with his choice of career, so he’s never surprised when no one notices him.

This time it looks different however, but there is a dark cloud in all this happiness and it’s the speed at which they have both jumped into a relationship – can they step back and look at themselves in time to rescue what could be or are they willing to lose it all without dealing with all their baggage?

Shawn Lane’s WANTING SAM is a fast paced read of hope realized. Sam is not looking for any miracles in his life, however when Krystal makes a play for him, he is pleased and curious as to why. Krystal has never been a shrinking violet and goes after what she wants – and she wants Sam. There are issues they have to deal with and decisions they have to make that will affect the outcome of what they have together.

Shawn Lane’s WANTING SAM is a sweet read that just hit the spot.

Hey, did I read that you love Ladyhawke? Man, that movie is awesome. I love it. It's one of my favorites and I've watched it a million times. I never get tired of seeing Rutger Hauer dressed in medieval attire, yum. GREAT movie.

Thanks, I meant to comment on Ladyhawke the other day, but forgot. I'll have to check out Linda's stuff.

Thanks for the very nice review of WS. I don't write much in the way of heterosexual books anymore.

And I'm glad you enjoyed The Other Side, too.

See ya next time.
