Secret Bodyguard - Lori Crawford

The Blurb

Erica Kellogg is a former Olympic synchronized swimmer who has been blackballed from the sport she adores. She’s dealt with her loss by joining a world renowned security firm where she can lose herself in a myriad of dangerous assignments.

Needless to say, she’s not thrilled when she learns her latest case barely amounts to babysitting duty. If that weren’t bad enough, Trevor Cole, the man she’s been assigned to protect is, in her opinion, nothing more than a spoiled rock star. She doesn’t count on finding out there’s more to him than meets the eye or falling in love.

The Review

When veiled innuendos and a possible stalker’s threat turn into something more dangerous, Trevor Cole’s friends takes matters into their own hands to protect him. However, they have to be discreet, they have to be inventive and they have to make it as realistic as possible – who better than a former Olympic synchronized swimmer to guard the man who can smell a rat a mile off.

Erika Kellogg is doing the next best thing to what she loves – security with enough dangerous assignment to get her blood boiling. When she is given the task of guarding the man she thinks of as spoiled, self centered and all too much of a celebrity, she has no choice but to accept.

What she gets is a man, an attraction and a whole shift in the way she thinks of one Trevor Cole. She is, however, with Trevor to protect him – but who is going to protect her from Trevor, as Trevor is not only a rock star - but a rock star with intent to rock her world?

SECRET BODYGUARD is a fast pace read, with genuine twist and turns that keeps you at the edge of your seat. There are enough tender moments for you to get caught up in the life and love of Erika and Trevor and a few hilarious moments that you just have to pause to enjoy a good laugh.

Trevor and Erika could not be more different, however once they bump around together for a while and come to an understanding – the games begin and it’s pure pleasure seeing what these two come up with.

I enjoyed this read.  Ms. Crawford has a winner with this one, the who done it - theme was a surprise straight up to the end and a few heart stopping moments were strokes of genius.

Lori Crawford’s SECRET BODYGUARD introduces you to two people who meet each other at the right phase in their lives and at a time when they can be all and everything to each other. The characters are loveable, the threat they face are real and the emotion that they bring out in you will have you enjoying this book to the very last page.
