Fall Into Me – Linda Winfree

The Blurb

She’s finally falling for the right man…at the worst possible time.

A part of the Hearts of the South series.

After two back-to-back romantic disappointments, bar owner Angel Henderson isn’t looking for love. In the past month, she’s been passed over twice by men she’d pinned her hopes on, both times in favour of a younger woman. She’s ready to swear off men for life. The only problem? A certain younger man determined to prove he can be her right man.

Sheriff’s deputy Troy Lee Farr is tired of being the department screw-up. The harder he tries to prove himself, the worse it gets. The only thing that’s gone right recently is getting a second chance with Angel. Except she’d rather jam on the brakes than rush into a new relationship. Now he has to work hard to prove his worth as a romantic prospect.

Troy Lee is a patient man, and it isn’t long before Angel is falling into him as hard as he’s fallen for her. Just as Angel begins to think of him as more than a fun date, her past—and Troy’s dangerous reality—threatens the tentative happiness they’ve found in one another.

Reminding them both that security is tenuous…and unconditional love is the biggest challenge of all.

The Review

When disappointment keeps turning up in the love department for Angel Henderson, she does what any broken hearted woman set on revenge does – she swears off men and gets on with the business of keeping her bar open and providing gossip fodder for the good people of Chandler County.

She may have sworn off men, but the handsome young sheriff deputy Troy Lee Farr has her in his sights and he will prove to her that there are still good men left in the world.

Troy Lee is not the happiest lad in the police department, chewed out more often than commended by his boss, he feels like the local screw up and he had no intention of given in. When he wittily gets himself a date with the local bar owner, he knows his luck is about to change and he is all for that.

Things are not smooth sailing however, as Angel proves a hard nut to crack when it comes to affairs of the heart and Troy Lee finds himself having to work harder than he has ever worked at a relationship before. It’s all worth it for both Angel and Troy Lee as they find in each other what they are both missing. Happiness still eludes then as life has a way of coming full circle and Angel and Troy Lee may yet lose each other before they have even had any sort of a chance to be together.

A part of the HEART OF THE SOUTH Series, FALL INTO ME is a book that holds you, and not only drops you into the life and love of Troy and Angel but also the supporting characters who make this book such a wonderful read.

Angel has not had the best of luck when it comes to men lately, she has just about given up when she meets Troy Lee and he is nothing like her last two boyfriends.

Troy Lee is not only younger than Angel, but he is of the mindset not to give up on anything once he’s made his mind up and he is determined to be everything to Angel.

They are fantastic together and you can certainly see what Angel sees in Troy Lee as not only is he caring and funny but also the man who has brought her out of her funk. Troy Lee is easy, loveable and beyond his wildest dream is the fact that Angel accepts him and the love that he so wants to share with her.

When time, attitude and events go haywire, they find that the love they have for each other is a fragile thing, but it is only with that same love that they can overcome the odds.

Linda Winfree is a magician with the pen, with a plot that just keeps on giving, characters that you want to wrap yourself up in, and a series that literally just keeps getting better and better – FALL INTO ME is one book that was well worth the wait.

Troy Lee and Angel are at the opposite end of the relationship chain but with determination by one hot man Angel does not stand a chance the day she accepts Troy Lee into her life.

If you are looking for a hero that stands out of the pack of alpha male and possessive Dom – Troy Lee is one man you will not be forgetting any time soon. Ms. Winfree’s characters have always been impressive; with Angel and Troy Lee she has shed a new light on the strength of her writing.

Good to the very last drop.
